It is with great sadness that the family of the late Egbert "Bert" Randell announce his passing on Friday, January 14, 2011 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 84 years. He will be sadly missed by his family including nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; special friend Lenny Taylor. He also leaves behind many friends at the Lohnes Seniors Complex where he resided for the past 8 years. Many thanks to Hedley Saunders for reading the Bible to Bert on so many occasions. He was predeceased by his wife Marion, 2006, parents Ernest and Mary Ellen Randell, sister Marion (Sam), brothers Lester, Bond (Ellie), Roland (Evelyn) and James (Ann). Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 18 at 2:00 p.m. from the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Main Street with Rev. Michael Rice officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Massey Drive Fire Department or to a charity of one's choice.
