Passed away at the Health Sciences Centre surrounded by family on Saturday, January 15th, 2011, Michael Joseph Crotty, aged 94 years. Predeceased by his wife Mary, parents William and Mary, brothers Morris, Jack, Edward, William and sister Bridget Fowler. Leaving to mourn his loving and devoted family: Daughters: Mary Messner (Michael), Geraldine Fleming (James), Jean Mercer (Dave), Joanne Crotty (Norman Petten), Elizabeth Chafe (Doug Roberts) and Carol-Anne Lutz (Jeff). Also lovingly remembered by eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Kay Cromwell (Frank) and Jean Whiteway (Harold); As well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and other relatives and friends. Thank you to the nursing staff of 4 North A at the Health Sciences Centre for your care, support and kindness and special thanks to Dr. Greenland for your compassion and guidance during this difficult time. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, St. John's, NL. Visitation on Monday from 2-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, January 19th, 2011 at 11 a.m. from St. Teresa's Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or a donation may be made in his memory to a charity of one's choice.
