Jean Campbell passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Monday, December 27, 2010 at St. Anthony's Hospital, The Pas, Manitoba, at the age of 82 years. Born Saturday, June 9, 1928 in Coxby, SK, Jean spent her childhood in Prince Albert, SK and lived in a couple of different locations before making The Pas a permanent home and raising her family. Jean was a hard worker and held all kinds of jobs in The Pas during her 50 plus years in the area. She was a lifetime member of The Pas Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch No. 19. Before retiring Jean had worked several years at The Pas Post Office and Employment Center. Jean was a proud, graceful and nurturing woman with a no-nonsense style about her. Jean was a very family oriented person who especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Jean resided at St. Paul's Personal Care Home the last two and a half years. She very much enjoyed the socialization and activities and always looked forward to visits with her family, friends and the staff. Jean will be missed by those who knew and loved her. Jean is survived by her son, Donald (Roberta) Campbell of Winnipeg, MB; daughters Debra Hall (Doug) of The Pas, MB and Wendy (Wade) Hrappstead of Penhold, AB; grandchildren; great grandchildren; a brother Kenneth (Joan) McLennan of Maple Ridge, BC and many family members and dear friends. Jean was predeceased by her husband Chuck; son Lance (Ruth); parents Eva and William McLennan; brothers and sisters, Gladys, Jim, Jack, Jerry, Gertie (Jim) Weddell and Dolores (Bill) Apps. Prayer services were held Thursday, December 30, 2010 at the Chapel of Hemauer Funeral Home in The Pas, MB with Rev. Rebecca Graham presiding. Music ministry was provided by Rochelle Rydberg. A Memorial Service for Jean will be held at Anglican Christ Church at 1 Saskatchewan Crescent in The Pas, MB on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 1:00 pm.
