Louise Collier, age 95, of Gull Lake, Sk., passed away January 6, 2011 at the Gull Lake Special Care Centre. A memorial gathering was held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 15, 2011, from the Elks Hall, Gull Lake, Sk. Louise is survived by her children; daughter; Sharon Dahl and her children Carla (Dan) Garland and Erica (Paul) Nagel; son; Floyd (Merle) Collier and their children Amberly (Darwin) Lundgren, Brent (Shannon) Collier and Jack (Carlie) Collier; daughter; Peggy (Doug) Serres and their children Arlene (Monte) Fenske, Wendy Serres, Andrew Serres, Nathan Serres; great grandchildren; Sami, Ryan, Regan, Taylor, Cole, Olivia, Jake, Alexis and Zoe; brothers; Jack and Jim Busse; brother-in-law Harold Collier and sisters-in-law; Ilene Peterson and Leota Steele. She was predeceased by her husband Glen; daughter Gayla Jane; her parents Oscar and Emma Busse; brothers William and Sam; sisters Mildred, Eva, Marion and Mae and numerous in-laws. Louise was born in the Gull Lake District on February 5, 1915. She attended the Twin Butte School. Louise married Glen Collier on November 6, 1935. They farmed until moving into town in 1973. Glen passed away in 1991 and Louise stayed in her home alone until 2008, when Sharon moved in with her. She went to the care home in Leader in 2009 and then came back to Gull Lake Special Care Centre in 2010. Louise was a member of the Rebekahs Lodge in Gull Lake. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing, quilting, bird watching and having cookies and pizza for the grandchildren. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends. In her memory, memorial donation may be made to the Gull Lake and District Ambulance. Warren's Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
