It is with great sadness to announce the passing of our dear mother, Darlene. She dies peacefully in her home surrounded by her children.
Darlene was born in Springhill, NS and grew up with two sisters and two brothers. On June 23, 1950, she married her soul mate, Douglas Arthur Noiles and built their home in Springhill, NS where they welcomed their six children.
In 1973 they moved to Port Alberni, BC where they spent the rest of their lives. Darlene was a fan of hockey and she enjoyed bowling, quilting, dragon boating, crib and scrap booking, but mostly she enjoyed being with her family.
Darlene will be joining her loving husband, Douglas Noiles, her brother, James Spence and her parents. She is leaving behind her children: Mary Ann (Ray) Maddison, Louise (Art) Berlinski, Doug (Glenda) Noiles, Donna (Doug) Cheetham, Grace (Lawrence) Cowan, Colleen (Craig) Brooks, fourteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great-grandchildren, sister Nancy (Murray) Whitewood, France (Glen) Whitman, brother Carson (Bonnie) Smith and sister-in-law Louise (James Spence), Linden.
Darlene's remains will be joining her husband, Doug's in Springhill on August 6, 2011 at Rodney Cemetery
