Surrounded by family at the Prince Edward Home, Charlottetown on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2011 the death occurred of Maureen Booth (nee Doyle) of Doyle's Cove, North Rustico and Charlottetown. Left to mourn her passing is her brother Andy Gavan Doyle, sisters Honourable Marion L. Reid, Elsie Brown Bourgeau, Ida Bissonnette (Vincent) B.C., Liz Belling (Bill) B.C., and sister-in-law Dottie Doyle. Maureen was predeceased by her husband Ralph Booth and infant son Michael Patrick, sister Margaret Hitt (Malcolm) and brother Tom Doyle of North Rustico, brothers-in-law Lea Reid, Kenneth Bourgeau, Malcolm Hitt and parents Michael and Loretta (Whelan) Doyle. Maureen will be missed by her loyal friends both on the Island and in Montreal where she spent most of her career. She was Aunt Mimi to her many nieces and nephews and their children. She never forgot a birthday; and will be sorely missed for the comfort, care and special relationship she had with them. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home for visitation on Wednesday, Jan. 19 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Dunstan's Basilica on Thursday, Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. Interment will take place at a later date at Stella Maris Cemetery, North Rustico.
