Suddenly at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, July 3, 2009, of Loretta Steele, R.N., (nee Kell) of Stratford, age 87 years. Beloved wife of the late George H. Steele and loving mother of Laurie King (Ken), Philip Steele (Winnie) and Bob Steele (Debbie). Loretta is also survived by her grandchildren, Shawn, Kevin, Greg and Matt King, Sarah, Michael, Ryan and Lauren Steele; and sisters, Abbie Gerroir and Anita McNulty. She was predeceased by her husband, George; grandson, Dion; brothers Joe, Hughie and Anthony; and sisters Kay O’Keefe, Jen MacDonald and Teresa Butera. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford, for visitation on Monday, July 6, 4-7 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 7, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Stratford, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Upper Room Hospitality Ministry would be appreciated.
