In Loving Memory Of
BATTISTA ANTONIO SPINA

Dec. 8, 1933 - January 16, 2011

Suddenly on January 16, 2011 our beloved father Battista passed away at the age of 77 years.

He is survived by his loving children: his daughters, Maria (Frank) Bartucci, Adriana (Barry) Lord and two sons Ross (Christine) Spina and Tony Spina. He also leaves to cherish his memory six grandchildren: Rosy (James) Falco, Joe (Brandee) Bartucci, Tina, James, Andrew and Vanessa and four great grandchildren Frankie, Angela, Matteo and Alessandra; his brother Vincent (Fortunata) Spina, his sisters Esterina (Everiste) Giardullo, Yolanda (Pacio) Lepore, his sister-in-law Rosetta Spina and brother-in-law Salvatore Catulli and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Battista was predeceased by his father Rosalbino and mother Maria and sisters Ada, Emilia, brother John and niece Adriana.

Battista was born December 8, 1933 in Grimaldi, Cosenza, Italy where he married the love of his life Fenice. Battista immigrated to Canada (Kamloops) in 1959 and shortly after was followed by his wife (Fenice) and two children Ross and Maria. Within a short time his other two children Adriana and Tony were born. Battista's whole life revolved around his family whom he truly loved and took great pride in.

His children and his grandchildren were truly the joy and love of his life. Dad's giving, loving, kind and gentle spirit will be greatly missed by all, along with his big smiles and happy personality. We will miss Dad's big heart and unconditional love.

You are now reunited again with your
soulmate and the love of your life, Mom.

Prayers will be recited on Thursday, January 20th, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. The Reverend Father Peter Nguyen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial at the Church on Friday, January 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Sage Valley Mausoleum.

Should friends desire, donations to the Kamloops Hospice Association, 72 Whiteshield Crescent S., Kamloops, B.C., V2E 2S9 in memory of Battista would be appreciated.
