Yvonne R. (O’Connell) Santucci, 82 of Sun Lakes, AZ, passed away on June 27, 2009.
Formerly of New Waterford, Nova Scotia Yvonne graduated from Mt. Carmel High School and attended Mount. St. Bernard College in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Following college she moved to the United States where she resided the rest of her life.
She was an avid bridge player and loved animals. She attended mass daily at St. Steven’s in Phoeniz, AZ. She was loving, compassionate and had quiet dignity even in the most challenging circumstances. She is loved and will be missed by everyone that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Susannah O’Connell and brother, Michael.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Alfred; their children, Alex (Michelle) of Chandler, AZ and Dave (Carrie) of Spokane, WA and her sister, Susie Dixon of New Waterford, Nova Scotia, Canada. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
The service was held at St. Steven’s Catholic Church in Sun Lakes, AZ on June 30, 2009.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Arizona Humane Society or the American Stroke Association.
