Passed peacefully away at the Elizabeth Bruyere Hospital in Ottawa on June 5, 2009, son of the late Alex and Kathleen Seward formally of St. John’s, N.L. Father of John (Deborah) of Stratford, Ont. And Tim (Debra Panicale) of St. Catherines, Ont. Their mother Marina of St. Catherines, Ont. Loving Poppy of Lauren, Alex, Max, and Olivia of Stratford, Ont. Sister Jean (Ted) Robbins of Gananoque, Ont. Nephews: Ken, Chris Robbins and their families. Brother Darroch (Maureen) Seward of Calgary, Alta. Nieces: Kathie, Marilyn, Yvonne, and Carolyn, and their families. Walter received his early education at Bishop Feild College in St. John’s, N.L. He would later become a Chartered Accountant and worked as a financial manager at various projects Worldwide.
Walter retired in Ottawa in 2002 where he pursued his interest in Art and also became an avid golfer in the Ottawa area. In accordance with Walter’s wishes, cremation has taken place with interment to follow a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Ottawa.
