Passed away suddenly at Brookfield Hospital on July 2, 2009, Jerry Loyal Stagg, age 83 years of Valleyfield. Predeceased by his parents: Thomas and Emma Stagg; two sisters: Ena Whalen, Jane Gibbons; brother Jack Stagg. Leaving to mourn with beautiful and loving memories are his wife of 57 years Viola; four daughters: Judy (Len Sturge) of Paradise, Janice (Ray Mason), Christine (Dave Welcher), all of Valleyfield, Cathy (Steve Lear) of Mount Pearl; one sister-in-law Betty Butt of Gander; nine grandchildren: Kelly and Kristy Sturge, Alex Mason, Jennifer Lonergan, Josh, Katherine and Jordan Welcher, Allison and Adrianna Lear; one great-grandson Devin Sturge, also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral service to be held on July 4, 2009 at the United Church, Valleyfield with Rev. Heather Sandford officiating. Interment at the United Church Cemetery, Valleyfield.
