STOODLEY, Mary R. (nee Lawrence)- (August 9, 1929- January 17, 2011) Passed peacefully away on Monday, January 17, 2011 in the presence of her family at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's, Mary Stoodley in her 81st year of St. Jacques. Predeceased by husband Thomas (June 2002). Left with fond and loving memories are her children: Roland (Ellie), Gerald (Beatrice), Silas, Samuel (Pauline), Edith (Melvin), Gerri (Vince), Sheila (JR); 18 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sisters: Lucy, Dorothy, and Effie; brother Silas and a large circle of extended family and friends especially sister-in-law Burnsie Lawrence, lifetime friend and neighbor. A special thank you to the doctors and nurses of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre, St. John's Radiation Oncology Department, in particular Drs. Lear, O'Brien, Stuckless and Norman, Father John Courage and the wonderful and caring staff of 4NB and 4SB at the Health Sciences Center. Resting at St. Michaels and all Angels Anglican Church, St. Jacques. Funeral will take place on January 20, 2011 at 2 p.m. Interment will be at the family plot St. Michaels and all Angels Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to St. Michaels and all Angels Church or the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Foundation.
