Peacefully at the Community Hospital O’Leary on Saturday July 4, 2009, with his family by his side of Albert Joseph Gallant of Piusville age 77 years. Born at Brockton, P.E.I., on April 25,1932, He was the son of the late Thomas and Mary Anne (nee Blanchard) Gallant. Beloved husband of Velma Mary (nee Arsenault) Gallant. Loving father to Donat of Huntley, Danny (Wendy) of Elmsdale, Junior (Vickie) of Piusville; Wayne (Patricia) of Bloomfield, Kevin of Piusville, Sandra (Grant) MacCollum of Alberton, Corey of Piusville. Lovingly remembered by his 11 grandchildren, Chad, Melissa, Vanessa, Chris, Bradley, Emmalee, Katie, Tanner, Selena, Paiton and Flora Jane. Great-grandfather to Dylan and Dakota. Dear brother to Jackie (Bernice) of O’Leary, Olive (friend Rita Melanson) of Moncton, Marcella (Hedley) Costain of Brockton, Theresa (Ralph) McNeill of Elmsdale, Robina Trainor of Moncton, Angelina Reid of Toronto; Priscilla (Major) Costain of Alberton, Nelson (Joanne) of Summerside. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, Everett (Carmel) Arsenault of Alberton, Arnold (Zena) Arsenault of Duvar, Howard (Rennie) of Burlington, Ont., Albert Arsenault of Charlottetown, Oscar (Sue) of Nova Scotia. He will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by sons, Stanley and Wendell, His parents Tommy and Mary Ann Gallant, mother and father in law Tom and Mary Arsenault, (Frank Richards) brother-in-law, Harold Arsenault, and Gerald Arsenault, sisters-in-law, Molly Arsenault and Norma Arsenault and by a nephew, Donnie Arsenault. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hour Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, from St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church Woodstock for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
