(1915 - 2011) - Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Friday, January 21, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by the love of his life, his wife, Olive (2001); son David (2008); sons-in-law Dave Ralph (2009) and Dave Collins (2009); great-grandson Jonah Ralph (2007); mother Helen, father Joseph, sister Mae and brother Bob. Leaving behind with many cherished memories are his sons: Lloyd (Catherine); Don (Aline); Wayne (Phyllis); Gary (Jos) and Glenn (Mary): daughter-in-law Mary; daughters: Joan Monk (Clesson); Judy Collins; Carol Lawrence (Dave); Gail Day (Wayne); Cheryl Ralph and Linda Howell (Barry): grandchildren: Doug (Sheila), Stephen and Craig Holloway; Michelle Hudson (Geoff) and David Holloway (Gail); Michael Summers (Dawn) and Stacy Hagerty (Greg); Paul Collins (Karen) and Tanya Haywood (Richard); Kim Scurlock (Trevor), Sherri Clark (Jason) and Lindsay Lawrence (Grant); Rob Holloway (Deneen) and his mother Mary; Jennifer (friend Jim) and Ryan (Kim) Holloway; Chris (Jackie) and Chad (Suzanne) Day; David (Christa) and Kori (Adina) Ralph; Krista Holloway (Jeff) and Lori Reynolds (Mark); Karen and Brian Holloway; Kerri (Chris) and Brent Howell, step-grandchildren: Heather Leckie (Grant) and Clesson Monk, Jr., as well as 26 great-grandchildren. Also leaving half-sister Ruth Hofacre; sisters-in-law Sally Binney and Shirley Connors, brother-in-law Mac Davis; special friends Agnes Summers and Joy Walters and many nephews, nieces and friends, as well as the staff of Ruby Manor where he resided for the past three years. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on.; Sunday, Jan 23 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, Monday, Jan 24 from 10am-12pm, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m and Tuesday, Jan25 from 10am-12pm. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, Jan 25 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Ferryland Street at 2 o'clock p.m. Burial to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
