At the Western Hospital, Alberton, on Friday, Jan. 21, 2011, with his family by his side, of Edwin Joseph DesRoches of Tignish, aged 68 years. Born at Tignish Shore, P.E.I., on Dec. 27, 1942, he was the son of the late Everett and Eleanor (nee Buote) DesRoches. He is survived by children: Ricky (Tammy) of Tignish; Claudette DesRoches (Jim) of Nova Scotia; Cindy (Brian) Gaudet of Tignish; Lisa DesRoches (Stacey) of Tignish; Shawn DesRoches (Sherlyn) of Calgary, Alta. He is also survived by his eight grandchildren as well as his three brothers and one sister: Ivan (Theresa) of St. Felix; Stephen (Chris) of St. Felix; James of Calgary, Alta.; and Judy (Elmer) Perry of Tignish. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. No visiting hours or funeral service by family request. Private family service to be held at a later date.
