M. Bernice Iverson (Brown) - 80, passed away peacefully at the Valley Regional Hospital Kentville on January 18, 2011. She was born in Pouce Coupe, BC on January 22, 1930. Bernice was the daughter of James Edward and Eva Gertrude (Walker) Brown. She is survived by her sister Georgina Crew and family; daughters, Gloria (Al) MacKenzie; Laura (Peter) Wightman; son, Wayne (Patricia); and grandchildren, Shannon and Kerri MacKenzie, Christina and Sean Wightman, Travis and Sarah Iverson; and great grandson Krystian MacKenzie. On Saturday, January 22 at 1 pm there was a memorial service followed with a reception at the New Minas United Church in memory of Bernice. Donations in her memory may be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada.
