Passed peacefully away at his residence Power’s Farm Road, Logy Bay, July 4th, 2009. Stephen Paul Power at the age of 85. Predeceased by his brothers John and Gus; sisters Mary and son Kevin (November 2nd, 2004). He is survived by his wife Margaret (O’Neil); sisters Perpetua (Pet) Myers, Isabelle Miller, Magdaline Powers; brothers Kevin (Bride) Power, Charlie (Mina) Power; sisters–in–law Catherine (John) Murphy, Zelda (William) O’Neil; sons Jimmy (Dallas), Jerry (Debbie) and John; daughters Margie, Peggy (Frank) Smith, Barbara (Denis) Barry, Rosalieta (Lee) Racicot, Marilyn (Derrick) Martin, Brenda Dowden (Bernie McCarthy), Stephanie (Keith) Carver, Sandra (Joe) Ridgley, Sheila (Gary) Glass. As well as a large circle of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held at Caul’s Funeral Home, Torbay on Sunday, July 5th from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Monday, July 6th from noon – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held on Tuesday, July 7th at 10 a.m. from St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Outer Cove. Interment to follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
