Three Rock Cove

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lauchlin Joseph Collier announce his passing at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Corner Brook on Sunday, January 23, 2011 at the age of 87 years. He will be sadly missed by his two sons: Michael (Bertina) Collier of Three Rock Cove, Yves (Karen) Collier of Three Rock Cove, seven daughters: Bernadette (Clyde) Duffenais of Black Duck Brook, Phyllis Collier (Kevin Reddigan) of Ship Cove, Sarah Collier (Darius Benoit) of Port au Port East, Hazel (Winston) Jenkins of Prince Edward Island, Joan (Gabriel) Briand of Mainland, Shirley (Robert) Woods of Toronto, Lesley Collier (Roy Deen) of Toronto, three sisters: Veronica Gillis of Felix Cove, Mary (Hubert) Wheeler of Ship Cove, Rita Benoit of Lourdes, 19 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Gertrude Collier and son, Thomas Collier, three infant daughters and his parents, Daniel and Mary Emma Collier, two brothers, Patrick and James Collier and two sisters, Theresa Collier and Frances Jesso. Friends may call at St. Philomena's Chapel in Three Rock Cove on Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, January 27th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Philomena's Chapel, Three Rock Cove with interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Three Rock Cove. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Russell's Funeral Home, Stephenville.
