BENJAMIN - Raymond Paulidor passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at Cypress Regional Hospital, Swift Current, SK at the age of 75 years. Raymond was born in Rosetown on October 30, 1935. He lived the first six years of his life in Rosetown until his parents moved to Ponteix. He attended school in Ponteix and worked on the family farm. In 1960 he spent some time in St. Pierre, MB where he had relatives and found work on a dairy farm. While there he met his future wife Denise Dupuis. They were married on November 3, 1962 and in 1963 bought a farm in Ponteix. In 1978 he bought his father's farm and farmed it until 1995. At this time he retired but continued to live on the farm until 2001 when they sold the farm and moved to Swift Current. He enjoyed many things such as camping with his family and fishing, bowling, golfing and playing cards with family and friends. He also loved having friends over as well as dancing and square dancing. He loved his grandchildren and was always ready to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed. Ray is lovingly remembered by his wife Denise (Dupuis) Benjamin; daughter Lyne (Ken) Park, grandkids Pamela Perrault & her daughter Kyra, Carmen (Greg Flemming) Perrault & thier children Trinity and Cole, Melissa Perrault, step grandkids Linda (John) Lightfoot & their kids Corbin & Kianna, Jason (Kara) Park & their kids Codey & Tyler, Kenneth Park, Sarah (Gene) Goddu, John Park, and Jody Park with her child Peyton; daughter Doris (Cam) Walters and their kids Jay (Jolene Stubbings) and their children Cassie & Zoey, Raymond, Charlene and her son William; daughter Joanne (Normon) Miller and their kids Christina Miller, Mark (Kristan) Miller, Michael, Brian. His sisters John and Therese Mondor, Laurette Benjamin and Alice (Ted) Seaborn. Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Lionel and Lucie Dupuis, Paul and Pearl Dupuis, Gilbert and Paulette Dupuis, Ghislain and Leonne Dupuis & Ginette Slusarchuk as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Herman and Bernadette (St. Cyr) Benjamin, father-in-law and mother-in-law Rosaire and Cecile (Parent) Dupuis, one brother-in-law Lorne Slusarchuk and one niece Carolyn Seaborn, grandparents Gideon and Alice St. Cyr and Paulidor and Eugene Benjamin as well as many uncles and aunts. Prayer service was held on Friday, January, 21, 2011 at 7:00 pm from Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church with Vivian Bosch officiating. Funeral Mass was held Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 10:00 am from Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church with Father James Owolagba and Father Raymond Carignan officiating. Interment took place at Hillcrest Cemetery, Swift Current, SK. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 43 1st Ave. North East, Swift Current, SK S9H 2A9.
