Madeline Sinnott

Heaven was missing an angel. Today we said "so long" to a very special woman, Madeline Sinnott passed peacefully away at her residence in Witless Bay surrounded by loved ones on January 23rd, 2011. She was 74 years young and will be remembered by those who loved her for how she lived and faced her cancer than how she died from it. Predeceased by her husband of 43 years Michael Sinnott (1997); mother and father Mary and Patrick Clarke; stepmother Isabelle; brother and sister-in-law Tom and Mary Clarke. She leaves to celebrate her life her seven children: John (Betty her 7th daughter) Sinnott, Sharon (Timmie) Raymond, Joanne (Tommy) Carey, Lorraine Sinnott (Derm) ,Christine (Bill) Burke, Michelle (Ernie) Dunn and Lesley (Steve) Newell; eighteen grandchildren: Deanne (Jeff), Dawn and Dana, Cory and Jillian, Ashley and Allison, Sean, Scott (Karen) Steven and their father Art Heffernan, Maggie-Lynn and Joshua, Amanda, Amy and Michael, Sadie-Lynn, Dawson, Carter and their special friends; four great-grandchildren: Riley, Sydney, Colton and Ella; sister Mercedes (Fern) Aubin and family, Dona Aubin, special shopping buddy, Sudbury Ont. and Lorna (Robert) Barry; and Tommy Clarke and their families. She also leaves her lifelong friend Jenny Shaw to cherish special times; as well Madeline was blessed to have a very busy social life and leaves her Bingo, card, dart and bowling buddies to celebrate with us, especially the Boozy bottom girls and the Gully Pond Asylum all of who's lives will be changed for having known Madeline. At Madeline's request Cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Rd. Visitation on Tuesday and Wednesday from 12 noon - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10 a.m. from St. Kevin's Church. Inurnment to follow, R.C. Cemetery Kilbride. Reception in her honor following at St. Kevin's Parish Hall. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made in her memory to the Ronald McDonald House, Newfoundland & Labrador.
