Beloved husband of Doris (MacNeill) Stevens, formerly of Lorne Valley, P.E.I. Dear father of Leslie (Frank) Messina, Huntington, NY; Lee Ann (Robert) Malussena, Charleston, SC; Lynn (Phil) Purkey, Charlotte, NC. Three grandchildren: Lauren, Christopher and Gregory. He leaves to mourn a sister, Jeanette, Delray Beach, FL; nine nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Gladys MacKay, Strathcona, P.E.I. Predeceased by his parents, Edward and Jeannette Stevens of Plymouth, MA; son, Edward Robert Jr.; sister, Elizabeth of Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held at the Osceola United Methodist Church in Lancaster, SC, on Tuesday, Jan. 25. Interment later at the Calverton National Veteran's Cemetery, Long Island, NY.
