James Joseph Clarence Richard age 76, of Amherst passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at home.
Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Amedie and Emma (Comeau) Richard.
Jimmy worked with Elliott's Amusements for 25 years, Chapman Brothers Beverages for 9 years, Royal Canadian Legion Br. #10, Amherst for 2 years and Wendell Elliott's hot dog stand.
He was the best ticket seller in the Town of Amherst.
Jimmy is survived by his brother Ross (Elly) Richard of Amherst and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters Edna Carter, Elise Depres, Reta Pfinder, Winnifred Taylor, Mabel Kolbrack and Tillie Robichaud and one brother Leon.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. with parish prayers at 8 p.m. all in Campbell's Funeral Home, Amherst, NS.
Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. from Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Amherst with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating.
Interment will take place in the spring in the St. Charles - Nativity Cemetery, Amherst.
