February 8, 1926 - January 24, 2011. Passed away with courage and dignity after a twenty year battle with numerous illnesses, Effie Lillian Mutrey, in her 84th year. Predeceased by her parents Hanna Jane and William Josiah King; her sisters: Mildred King, Myrtle and Carrie Whalen; and brothers; Leslie, Wallace and Allan King. She will be forever loved and missed by her husband George Nelson who tirelessly cared for her; her daughter Sharon Walsh (Paul); son Keith; grandson Colin Walsh (Lynn); granddaughter Kerri Lynn Spurrell (Don); two great-grandchildren: Rachel and Logan Spurrell who she absolutely adored and who gave her the will to live; brother Melvin King; sisters-in-law: Corneilla Coish, Edith Coish, Vivian Noftle (Les); also many nieces, nephews, friends, particularly her life-long friends Doris and Don Hiscock. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mt. Pearl on Tuesday and Wednesday, January 25th and 26th from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and on Thursday, January 27th from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Funeral services from Barrett's Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Mt.
