We, the family of the late Philip Walsh of Florence would like to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to our relatives, friends and co-workers for the kindness, love and support shown to us during our recent loss. Thank you to Dr. Brake and Dr. Poulos for your care and compassion shown to Dad over the years. Thank you to the excellent nursing staff of the Emergency Department and IMCU at Northside General and ICU at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. We are also thankful for the services of the Department of the Veterans Affairs, EHS; 1st Responders of Florence Fire Department. VON, Linda Lee Conolly and Allan Strang. Dad was blessed with your gentle kindness when needed it most. To those who attended the funeral, visited and brought food to our homes, to those who called and e-mailed, and to those who travelled to be here with us - thank you! We thank you for the beautiful mass and sympathy cards, expressions of sympathy, online condolences and for the many charitable donations made in Dad's name. Your compassion, heartfelt words and comfort will long be remembered. We are thankful for the compassion and professionalism shown by the staff of J.M. Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines. Thank you to Father Thomas John and Father Ajit for your blessings and mass celebration of Dad's life. A sincere thank you to the altar servers, choir, readers and eucharistic ministers. Thank you to the pallbearers - great-grandsons Brandon and and Logan Legatto and the gift-bearers - granddaughters Shana and Laura Walsh. A sincere thank you to Tremaine Sampson and the honor Guard of Branch 83 Royal Canadian Legion of Florence and for the beautiful luncheon following the mass. To all of you, we will be forever grateful.
