Kevin Frederick Power
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Kevin Frederick Power announce his sudden passing after his courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at the age of 58 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Brenda (Campbell), son Troy Power, daughter Terri Lynn Pottle (Byron), his darling grandchildren Emma & Noah Pottle, his brothers; Cyril Power (Susie) of Irishtown, Edward Young (Marilyn) of Corner Brook, Rodney Young of Corner Brook, Richard Young of Ontario, Brian (Melissa) Caravan of McIvers, Randy Caravan (Lara Bagu) of Corner Brook, Wayne Caravan (Lori) of Alberta, brothers-in-law; David Campbell, Douglas Campbell (Della), and Glen Campbell of Ontario, sisters; Marie Temple (Robert) of Corner Brook, Agnes George (John) of St. John's, Diane Poole (Greg) of Corner Brook, Debbie Brewer (Gord) of Ontario, Beverley Penney of Corner Brook, Helen Caravan (John) of Corner Brook, and Maxine Park (Mike) of Corner Brook, sisters-in-law; Joan Bowie of Greenock, Scotland, Marilyn Gabriel (Ed) of Okotoks, Calgary, Dianne McKay (Joseph) of Corner Brook and Audrey Curtis (Peter) of Benoit's Cove, his close special friends, Joan & Baxter Lockyer and family, Jim & Barb Callahan and the Hynes family as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Loretta Power & Alfred Young. Cremation has taken place. Receiving of friends and family will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Friday, January 28th, 2011 from 12 noon - 2 p.m. Memorial service will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on January 28th, 2011 at 2 p.m. with Father Ambrose Hynes officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. No flowers by request. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. When facing death's shadow, remember the Light;
The shadows bring fear, and the dark shrouds our eyes;
