June 20, 1941 - January 26, 2011. Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, January 26, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer, Colin Pretty of Dildo, aged 69 years. He is predeceased by parents Colin and Rita Pretty, infant son Keith (1963) and son Brian (2009). Leaving to mourn and celebrate his life with thanksgiving are his loving wife of 48 years, Marjorie (nee Thorne); daughter Joanne (Bruce) Thorne, and son Stephen (Krista); four precious grandchildren: Lukas and Laura Thorne, Evelyn and Jacob Pretty. He is also lovingly remembered by sisters: Gladys (Erwin) Cranford and Louise Drover, as well as a number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Warren's Funeral Home, Dildo on Thursday, January 27, 2:00 p.m. until time of funeral. The funeral service will be held from All Saints' Anglican Church, Dildo on Friday, January 28 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow.
