On January 18, 2011 James J. Gilbert passed away peacefully in his 89th year at Dunedin, FL. James Gilbert was born in Saint John, N.B. Canada on July 18, 1922 to James Francis and Josephine G. (McCormick) Gilbert. During World War II he served with the R.C.A.F. He is survived by one daughter Pamela Gilbert of Palm Harbor, FL, one brother Ralph Gilbert of Scarborough, ON and two sisters, Irene Best of St. Stephen, NB and Gloria Connolly of Halifax, NS. He is also survived by many loved nieces and nephews. James was also predeceased by his parents, wife Alice and brother Edward J. Gilbert. James spent many years at Stoughton, MA and Rockport, MA.
Memorial service is to be held at a later date.
