Clement Bourque

Clément Bourque, 92, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the Villa Providence Home in Shediac. Born in Shediac on April 14, 1918, he was the son of the late William and Exelda (Hébert) Bourque. A Veteran of the second World War, Clément served with the Royal Canadian Armed Forces in the North Atlantic Seaboard and in Continental Europe. Prior to his retirement, he was a stationary engineer for 37 years. Clément will be sorely missed by his loving wife of 38 years, Rita (LeBlanc) Bourque and four children: Ronnie (Susan) of Laval Ouest, QC, Suzie (Grant) Bingham of Vernon, B.C., Claude (Kathryn) of Two Mountains, QC, Bernie (Linda) of Montréal, QC; nine grandchildren: Graham (Emma), Philip, Richard, Sara (Dwayne), James, David, Jennifer, William, Elizabeth and one step granddaughter Sara. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is predeceased by his first wife Irène (Boudreau) Bourque (Joggins, N.S.). Special thanks to nephew Gary and his wife Heather Arsenault.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, January 30th from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297). There will be no visitation prior to the funeral on Monday. Funeral mass will be held at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Shediac on Monday, January 31, 2011 at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
