J.G. (GERRY) COLEMAN
Thank you seems such a small word when you consider the kindness received from family, friends and neighbours during a very difficult time. Father Bill Rankin, how pleased Dad would have been to know that a boyhood friend would be celebrating his life. Your kind and personal words shared at Dad's graveside will comfort us as we travel this journey of healing. Father Stan (MacDonald), you have always been there for us. Dad so enjoyed your company and times spent reminiscing about the old neighbourhood. You brought a very personal touch to Dad's final farewell - we are honored and blessed by your friendship. To the many friends and neighbours who visited and sent food to our homes, we are deeply touched and forever grateful. Thank you to all who called with words of support, who sent flowers, sympathy cards, and emails --your kind words continue to bring us comfort. To all who made donations to churches and associations or who attended Dad's celebration of life, your kindness will never be forgotten. To Dr. Jamie MacLean, where do we begin. We will never forget your kindness, your compassion, your professionalism. To the nursing staffs of Cape Breton Regional Hospital and Glace Bay Healthcare Complex, we thank you so very much. You do so much for so many. To St. Anne's Ladies' Auxiliary, a special thank you for the wonderful reception you prepared. To the Sydney Mines Centennial Band who formed Dad's honour guard, thank you, he would have been so touched by your kindness. To Chant's Funeral Home, thank you for your thoughtfulness and professionalism; and to Kirk Rennie, for your very touching rendition of Ave Maria. To all who have touched our lives, please know you were all a source of strength and friendship to our family and we will forever remember your kindness.

Have you had a kindness shown, pass it on;
'Twas not given for thee alone, pass it on;
Let it travel down the years, let it wipe another's tears
'Til in Heaven the deed appears, pass it on.
