(1932-2011) - Miramichi - Harold Edwin McLenaghan, of Bay du Vin River Road, Bay du Vin, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Friday, January 28, 2011, at the age of 78. Born in Bay du Vin, on May 14, 1932, he was the son of the late Frederick and Cecelia (Dutcher) McLenaghan. He was a retired employee of the N.B. Dept. of Transportation. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin. He is survived by one son, Darren Gulliver (Stacey), of Bay du Vin; three sisters, Edith Dryden, of Upper Coverdale, Cecilia McCarron (Brian), of Toronto, Ont., Sylvia Brennan (Jon), of Ottawa, Ont.; three brothers, Wilfred McLenaghan (Marlene), of Saint John, Tom McLenaghan (Marjorie), of Miramichi, Harry McLenaghan (Sonia), of Quispamsis; one grand daughter, Claire. He was predeceased by one sister, Edna Branscombe; four brothers, Raymond, Robert, Stanley and Alfred McLenaghan.
Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Thursday, February 3rd, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin, on Friday, February 4, 2011, at 2 pm, conducted by the Venerable Richard Steeves. Interment will be in the church cemetery, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. John the Evangelist Church, the Palliative Care Unit of the Miramichi Hospital or the Extra Mural Nursing Program, would be appreciated by the family.
