Aimé Arsenault

(1916-2011) - Aimé Arsenault, 94 of Centre de Santé des Anciens Combattants, Moncton NB and formerly of Saint-Paul de Kent passed away at the Centre on Wednesday January 26, 2011 after a lengthy illness. He was married to Florine (Cormier) Arsenault. Born in Saint-Paul de Kent on March 1st, 1916 he was the son of the late Camille and the late Ozite (Bastarache) Arsenault. Aimé was a veteran of WW11; he served overseas in France and Belgium with La Chaudière Regiment. He will be sadly missed by his wife Florine, his two daughters; Jeanne Goguen (Louis-Marcel) of Cocagne, Rose-Marie Arsenault (Rhéal) of Saint-Antoine, seven sons; Armand of Fitchburg MA, Rhéal (Julia) of Grande-Digue, Jean Robert (Sonia) of Shediac Bridge, Donald (Debbie),Paul (Thelma), Réginald (Yvette), Louis (Anne) all of Saint-Paul de Kent, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Aimé was predeceased by one brother Maxime and five sisters, Elisabeth, Marguerite, Léonie, Alice and Marie. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Visitation will be held at the Saint-Paul de Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room on Sunday January 30, 2011 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 and on Monday January 31,2011 from 2 to 3:45pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Paul de Kent Roman Catholic Church on Monday January 31, 2011 at 4: 00pm with internment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
In Aimé`s memory donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
