Robert "Bob" Wilt

Robert "Bob" L. Wilt ("just call me Bob"), 91, formerly of Chateau Mapleton, Moncton, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday January 27, 2011. Born in Rexton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Minnie (Barnes) Wilt. Bob was retired from the CNR with 36 years service and was a member of Wesley Memorial United Church and the CN Pensioners Association. He had a passion for fishing, enjoyed playing cards and socializing with his friends. Bob will be sadly missed by his daughters, Marilyn Campbell (Wareham), Fords Mills, Wanda Dumville (Colin), Moncton, Judy Thayer (Ross), Scarborough, ON; sons, Garth (Nancy), Barrie, ON, Walter (Jocelyne), Riverview; grandchildren, Kathy, Karen, Valerie, Shelley, Troy, Tammy, Jason, Jamie, Julia; nine great grandchildren; sisters, Ida Comeau (late Norman), Moncton and Mildred Holmden (late Tom), Riverview; several nieces, nephews and his friends at Chateau Mapleton. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Blanche Mills (1961) and second wife, Dorothy Elderkin; brothers, William, Bonner, Lawrence, Douglas and Joe; sisters, Mary, Bessie and Jennie.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service, Wesley Memorial United Church, Monday January 31, 2011, 2:00 pm, Rev. Dr. Philip Griffin-Allwood officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
