ELSIPOGTOG, NB - Mary Jane Francis 89, of Elsipogtog passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, St. Anne de Kent on Thursday, January 27th, 2011 after a lengthy illness. Born in Big Cove she was the daughter of the late Daniel and late Susan (Jerome) Augustine. Mary Jane was a member of the Richibucto Legion Branch No. 30. She attended St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Elsipogtog. Mary Jane will be sadly missed by her seven daughters; Peggy Clement (Peter), Shirley Francis (Stephen L), Rachel Augustine (Joseph Erwin) all of Elsipogtog, Lucy McVicar (Byron) of Pirogue, Mary Margaret Joe (Arnold) of Burnt Church, Ruby Ann Francis of Elsipogtog, Mary Annie Francis of Blue Hill, ME, one son; Edmond Francis of Elsipogtog, twenty-one grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren, twelve great great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Mary Jane was predeceased by her parents, her husband; Louis Tom Francis, an infant daughter; Rebecca Francis, three sons; John Noel Francis, Billy Boy Francis, Jimmy Francis, one sister; Mary Ann Akerson and one brother; Sylvester Augustine.
Resting at the home of her daughter, Rachel on East Main Street, Elsipogtog with visitation beginning on Saturday at 2:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 31st, 2011 at 11:00 am, St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Elsipogtog. Arrangements in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
