Henry William Meyer passed away peacefully with family by his side, on Thursday January 27, 2011, after a brief illness. Henry was born at Crane Valley, where he farmed for many years. He belonged to the Cosmo Seniors Centre and enjoyed many years of playing cards. Henry enjoyed gardening and his yard. He was very thoughtful in visiting friends, no matter where they were. He enjoyed his family and always had a joke to tell with a smile on his face. He was always ready with a helping hand to anyone in need. Henry also enjoyed wood working and made many bird houses. He enjoyed going out for lunch at the Co-op, where he enjoyed chatting with friends. Henry was predeceased by his parents Henry and Gesine, and brother-in-law Pete. He leaves to mourn his passing his friend and companion Barb; her three daughters: Lori (Bob), and their children Melissa and Kaitlyn; Jenny (Chad) and their children Brandon and Kayden; Amber (Graham) and their children Austin and Brady; his sisters Mandy (Tom) Hobbs and their children Lori (Gary) and their children Craig, Gary, and Sara; nephews Kevin (Donna); sister Irma and her children Wayne (Jean) and their children Marc and Jeremy, Farley (Nancy) and their children Sharma and Lindsay; and his special furry friend Lucky, who he spent many hours with. Henry, you were my friend and I will cherish all the years we had together, Lucky and I will miss you dearly. The Funeral Service will be held at W.J. Jones & Son Chapel on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 1:30 pm. Reverend John Carley will officiate. Interment will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Donations in Henry's memory may be made to the Moose Jaw Humane Society, Box 1658, Moose Jaw, S6H 7K7. In living memory of Henry, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J.
