Irma Savoie of Saint John passed away unexpectedly on January 27, 2011 at her residence. Born 1948 in Pokemouche, NB to the late Alfred and Elizabeth (Losier) Robichaud. Irma loved to help neighbours and friends. She enjoyed cooking and gardening. Besides her former husband Albert Savoie she leaves behind two sons Andrew "A.J." of Saint John and Wilbert of Calgary, AB; two grandsons Aaron and Nicholas; friend Normand Basque of Saint John; brothers Gaspard (Patricia), Adrien (Elva), Rene (Rita), Philias (Anoncia), Paul (Yvonne), Gilles (Elizabeth), Desire (Patricia), Claude (Norma), Nerie (Claudine), Neal; sisters Stella (Benoit), Yvette (Raymond), Claudia (Allen), Doria, Diane (Benoit). Besides her parents, Irma was predeceased by her sister Helene and brothers Maxime and Romain.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road Saint John (646-2424). Visitation will be held on Monday, January 31, 2011 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday February 1, 2011 from St. Peters Catholic Church, 50 Clarendon St. Saint John at 1:00 p.m. Private family interment to take place in Pokemouche at a later date.
