Walker - F. Willene Walker, Summerside, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 28, 2011. Born in 1927, in Island East River, Pictou County, N.S., she was the daughter of the late William Stetson and Catherine Margaret (Fraser) McLean. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth A. Walker, and loving mother of her five children Andrew, Bill (Cindy), Anne (David Outhouse), Alex (Star Vickery), and Ernest (Susan Corning). She will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Luke, Rebecca, Victoria (Andrew), Hannah, and Michaela (and their mother Carol); Thomas (Valerie), Michael, and David (Vanessa); Samantha and Emma (and their mother Vivian); Clare and Samuel. She was sister to John (Ellen) McLean, George (Delthia) McLean, and the late Elizabeth (Aunt Betty) McLean. Also surviving Aunt Willene are dozens of nieces and nephews from across Canada. She devoted her life to raising her children and supporting her grandchildren in every way imaginable. The funeral will be held on Tuesday at the Summerside Presbyterian Church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place later in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. No visiting hours by personal request.
