SPINNEY, Murray "Wayne" - 66, of Central Argyle, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully with family by his side on January 25, 2011 at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born July 4, 1944, in Yarmouth, he was a son of the late Murray and Elizabeth Spinney. Wayne was a member of the Argyle Pubnico Baptist Church. He was a member, and President, of the Lower Argyle Fisherman's Co-op. He was an avid hunter and retired fisherman, and was recently the night watchman at the Camp Cove Wharf. He will be sadly missed by wife of 44 years, Sharon (Surette); sons, Larry Wayne (Frannie) Spinney, Comeauville; Lorne Murray (Carla) Spinney, Argyle; sisters, Diane Walker, Argyle; Karen Conrad, Argyle; Nancy ("Red") Morton, Argyle; grandchildren, Melena, Elisabeth, Briar, Jolene and Mandy. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by daughter, Lisa. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Yarmouth. Visitation took place at the Argyle Pubnico Baptist Church on Friday, January 28 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where funeral service was held Saturday, January 29 at 4 p.m., Pastor Raymond Pitcher and Rev. Richard Fowler officiated. Interment followed in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Family flowers only, please.
