It is with great sadness that the family announces the death of John Garnet O'Neill (Capt. Ret'd.) husband of the late Olive Ella (nee Smith) O'Neill of Fredericton, NB on January 30, 2011. Born in Toronto, ON, he served for over 35 years with the Canadian Army retiring with the rank of Captain. He was a Veteran of World War II, The Korean Conflict, and with the UN Peacekeeping in the Middle East. John is survived by his son Michael (Cathy) of Lower Kingsclear, NB; his grandchildren, David (Kymm) of Quebec City and Jennifer of Ottawa and his son-in-law Thacos of Athens, Greece. He was predeceased by his wife Olive, his parents; one daughter Susan and one sister Pat.
