Regretfully, the family announces the peaceful passing of John Frederick Hunt, of 40 Daniel Dr., which occurred Sunday, July 5, 2009 at the Glace Bay Healthcare Complex.
Born in Harbour Breton, Nfld., he was a son of the late Thomas and Mary (Malloy) Hunt. John spent all his working life at the Harbour Breton Fish Plant; he loved his family and notably enjoyed blueberry picking.
He is survived by his son, Arthur (Rosemarie) Stoodley; grandson, Robert; brother, Jim; other relatives and friends.
John was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Ann; his sister, Sebina and special grandson, Trent.
Visitation Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay. Funeral services Thursday, 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Marconi Street, Rev. Peter Rafuse officiating. Burial in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
Donations are suggested to St. Mary’s Anglican Church.
