Muriel Frances Doyle
The death of Muriel Frances Doyle, 84, of Pugwash and formerly of Springhill, occurred at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Embert and Flora (Merlin) Wry.
Muriel worked at CIBC in Springhill for several years, then was receptionist for Dr. W G Prentice prior to retirement. She was a member of St. Andrew's Wesley United Church and formerly active in the UCW. She also devoted her time collecting for The Canadian Heart And Stroke Fund for numerous years and always enjoyed a game of cards.
Muriel will be sadly missed by three sons, Embert (Kathryn), Sackville, NB, William (Bill) (Luanne), Bridgewater, NS and Douglas (Yoshiko), Burnaby, BC; a daughter, Margot Doyle, Yarmouth, NS; ten grandchildren, Jennifer, Angela, Elizabeth, Sarah, David, Bonnie, Andrew, Stacey, Travis and Selena; two great grandchildren, Hannah and Leah; a sister, Eleanor (Gus) Prentice. She was predeceased by a brother, Doug.
Muriel's remains have been entrusted into the care of the A.H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill (597-2361) from where visitation will be held from 1 pm until the time of the funeral service at 3 pm at the funeral home. A reception will follow. Burial in the Hillside Cemetery, Springhill.
