Alice Frances Acker - 84 of North Kingston passed away Thursday, January 27, 2011 in North Hills Care Centre, Granville Ferry. Born in Morden, Kings County she was a daughter of the late Maurice and Margaret (Hannifan) Hussey. Alice was a faithful member of the Roman Catholic Church and was a charter member of St. Monica's C.W.L. In later years she enjoyed travelling, working outdoors around her home and knitting. She is survived by sister Dorothy (James) Sherriffs, Berwick; brothers Eugene "Bud" Hussey, Hagersville, Ontario and Gerald (Judy) Hussey, Tampa, Florida. Alice was predeceased by her husband Ron; sisters Mary and Marguerite and a brother Clarence. Visitation was held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, January 30th in the Middleton Funeral Home 398 Main St., (902) 825-3448. A funeral service was held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 31st in St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church, Middleton, Father Gerald Saulnier officiated. A reception for family and friends followed the service. Interment took place in the North Kingston Cemetery. By request, family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to a charity of choice.
