Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's, NL, on Friday, January 21st, 2011, BLANCHE GRANDY (nee Clarke), of Garnish, NL, in her 80th year. Leaving to mourn her loving husband Russell, daughter Della Hart (Barry), Conception Bay South, and son Hughie Grandy (Cindy), Halifax, NS; 4 grandchildren, Bradley (Cara), Halifax, Leigh Anne (Ian), Halifax, Nicholas and Dylan Hart , Conception Bay South, 1 great grandson, Evan, Halifax; brother Levi Clarke, Burin, brother in law Hughie Grandy (Rose), Barrie, ON, sisters in law Irene Green, Ottawa, Frances Lavers (Grant), Ottawa; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her son Frazer. The Funeral Service was conducted by Rev. Robert Peddle at St. Gile's Anglican Church, Garnish, on Tuesday, Jan. 25th, 2011, at 11:00 AM. Interment was at the Anglican Church Cemetery in Garnish. Donations in Blanche's memory may be made to The St. Gile's Anglican Church, where she dedicated many years of her life, including serving as organist and a Lay Reader. Pall bearers were Brad Grandy, Leigh-Anne Grandy, Nicholas Hart, Dylan Hart, Barry hart and Hughie Grandy.
