Age 67 years, of Eastern Passage, passed away Jan. 28, 2011, in Dartmouth General Hospital.
Born in Freetown, P.E.I., he was a son of Helen (nee MacDonald) MacPhail and the late Lloyd MacPhail. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Navy. After his naval service he was involved in the transportation industry and most recently at Armour Group Transport from where he retired. Lloyd loved to hunt and fish.
Survived by his wife Sandra; sons John (Nadine), Steven (Brandy); daughters Tammy (Steve Parks) and Cindy (Gerrard); nine grandchildren; sisters Diane, Lucy (Joe); brothers John (Linda), Kevin (Bev) and Chester (Debbie); sister-in-law Ann; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend "Mindy". Predeceased by a brother Ronnie.
Visiting 6-9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, in Eastern Passage Community Funeral Home, 5 Cow Bay Road, where memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8. Rev Chester MacPhail (Lloyd's brother) officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
