We are sorry to announce that Ermon Fay Duschenes, of Westfield, died on January 30th at home, peacefully, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of more than 64 years, Rolf Duschenes, her five daughters Ellis Lynn, Jennifer (Scott MacKay), Julie (Ann Bakker), Claudia Kochava (Bruce MacAdam), Wendy (Denis Redmond), and six grandchildren: Michael (Erika), Adam (Arissa), Myles (Jane), Ian, Ariel, Julian, her great grandchild, Aisha, her sisters Bonnie Guy Flint and Elsie Newell Maynes, and thirteen nieces and nephews. Ermon Fay was born in 1920 in Arkansas. She received her postsecondary education at the College of the Ozarks, a degree in community art at Berea College and a B.Ed. at U.N.B. She taught art for many years in local schools.
Following cremation, family will receive friends at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Friday, February 4th, 2011, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A celebration of Ermon Fay's life will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, February 5th, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception.
