C. Lewis Russell

C. Lewis (Lew) Russell, 94, of Salisbury passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, February 1, 2011. Born in Moncton, he was a son of the late H. Victor and Hilda (Ramsay) Russell. Lewis moved his family to Scarborough On. where he worked for many years at Speed Flow Paints. Upon retirement he and his late wife Hazel moved back to their native Salisbury. He was a member of the Five Points Baptist Church, attended the Monday Morning Merry Makers and belonged to the Salisbury Legion Branch 31. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and gathering with friends for a card game. Survived by his companion Dorothy Morrisey; children Lawrence of Moncton, Nora Cooper of Scarborough On, Linda Russell of Goodwood On, and Allen (Anne) of Rusagonis; grandchildren Tracey, Kimberley, Michelle, Michael, Nora-Lynn, and Shane; eleven great grandchildren; brothers Lloyd, Stanley, and Lester; and several neices and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Hazel (Ayles) in 2005; sisters Hilda Steeves, Julia Steeves and Joyce Steeves; brothers James, Raymond, Herbert, Frank, and Ronald.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home with visitation Friday, February 4th from 7 to 9p.m. The funeral will be held from Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, February 5 2011 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Shawn Kehoe officiating assisted by Rev. Dan Compton. Interment at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. If desired memorials to N. B.
