NEW GLASGOW – Donald Alexander Ryan, 76, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, passed away, Monday, July 6, 2009 in the Manor surrounded by family and friends.
Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of the late Alexander and Anna May (Fitzpatrick) Ryan.
He was a marine engineer with a great passion for the sea.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, “the love of his life”, Theresa (Bonvie); and will be dearly missed by daughters: Theresa (Donald) Hayes, Rose Ryan, Tamara Ryan; sons, Sean, Patric; sister, Katherine (Ulysses) Savoie; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by son, Daniel; daughter, Colleen; sisters, Patsy Mason, Betty Murdock.
There will be no visitation or funeral service at Don’s request.
Donations may be made in his memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
