Elmira Bourque
Elmira "Mira" Bourque, 90, wife of the late David A. Bourque who resided at the Westford Nursing Home in Port Elgin and formerly of Trois Ruisseaux passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital, Sackville, N.B. Born in Bas Cap Pelé, January 26, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Willie Vautour and the late Dométhilde Bourque. Elmira is survived by her two daughters, Murielle Brien (Philip) of Trois Ruisseaux and Judy Melanson (Paul) of Cap Pelé, one brother Françis Vautour (Léontine) of Bas Cap Pelé, three grandchildren: Joseph Cormier (Anna), Fabien Melanson (Christine) and Joël Melanson; two great grandchildren: Nicholas and Mateo, a sister-in-law Sara Vautour, a brother-in-law Edmond Duguay, son-in-law Clorice Cormier, and by several nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her special friends, Majella Doiron (Omer), Annie Doiron (late Daniel), Renelle and Samuel. Besides her husband David A. (2009), she is also predeceased by a daughter Aline, a son Joseph, three sisters: Bertha, Viola and Clara and by two brothers, Dônat and Alcide Vautour.
Visitation at Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Rd., Cap Pelé (577-3297) on Friday, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, from 10 a.m. until time of departure at 10:50 a.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste. Thérèse d'Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap Pelé on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
