Gerald Allain

1947 - 2011 Gerald Allain, 63 of Cocagne passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Tuesday February 1st, 2011 at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital, Moncton. He was married to Bernice (LeBlanc) Allain. Born in Bouctouche on February 8, 1947 he was the son of the late Aurele and the late Rita (Maillet) Allain. Gerald worked for NB Liquor in southeast New Brunswick for 30 years with most of these as manager. He was an avid Golfer, and belonged to the Cocagne Parish Choir for over 25 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Bernice, his two children, Lisa Melanson (Jason) of Dieppe, and Luc (Sylvie) of Cocagne, his four grandchildren, Rémi, Joel, Véronique, and Janie. He also leaves to mourn, his five sisters, Aurella Richard (Fernand), Marie-Paul LeBlanc (Noel) both of Saint-Joseph de Kent, Marietta LeBlanc (Roger-Paul) of Dieppe, Marielle Allain (Paul) of Edmonton, and Jeannette LeBlanc (Bernard) of Fort McMurray, his seven brothers, Jean-Paul (Rita), Lorenzo (Raymonde), Denis (Ginette) all of Saint-Joseph de Kent, Emile (Laura) of Manchester, NH, Laurie (Lorette) of Edmonton, Bertin (Georgina) of Brampton, ON, Jean-Marie (Debbie) of Fredericton, and several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by two brothers, Roméo (1975) and Désiré (2010).
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne on Sunday February 6, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Monday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Cocagne Church on Monday February 7, 2011 at 11:00 am with internment in the parish cemetery in the spring.
