It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edward James Parsons announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital, Stephenville on Monday, July 6, 2009 at the age of 83 years. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Irene, three sons: Edward of Stephenville, Winston (Lisa) of Trinidad, Allan of Stephenville, three daughters: Marcella (Jim) Rogers of Kippens, Cindy (Gerard) Cochrane of Holyrood, Gloria Jean (Bob) White of Stephenville, one sister, Mary Vokey of Peterborough, ON, 10 grandchildren: Patrick, Edward, Amanda, Kimberly, Colton, Tylor, Donald, Kaylea, Keisha, Noah and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Susie Butt, parents, Abraham and Annie Parsons. Friends may call at Russell’s Funeral Home, 57 Prince Rupert Drive, Stephenville on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, July 11th, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, Hillview Avenue, Stephenville with Rev. Dawn Barrett officiating. Interment will take place at the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery, Hansen Highway, Stephenville. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
