Henri (Bob) Hachey
Henri Joseph Robert (Bob) Hachey. A resident of Niagara Falls he was transported by ambulance to St. Catherine's Hospital where he later succumbed to lung cancer January 30, 2011. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, April 1, 1947 to Arthur Hachey and Thelma Savoie (nee Cormier). He will always be remembered and missed by all who knew him. Survived by his wife Carol Hachey (nee Warren) and his daughter April Foster (Steve) Echo Bay, ON, son Greg Hachey (Ami), Calgary, AB stepchildren Lynn Richardson (Kevin) Calgary, AB, John Bartlett (Mary Ann) Grand Prairie, AB, Glen Bartlett (Janice), North Sydney, NS. Loved and known as special Grandpa Longdrive he will be loved and missed by his numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, his siblings Annette Mazerolle (Harry), Jeanine Armbruster (Wolfgang), Pauline Hand (Dail), Charles Hachey, Patricia Williamson (Stuart). He was also loved and will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by father Arthur Hachey, mother Thelma Savoie and his sister Marguerite Moon (Ed). Bob was a respected member of the Canadian Air force and served as a Military Police Officer for 27 years. Upon retirement he began working as a dangerous goods inspector in civil aviation for Transport Canada for approximately 13 years. In his free time he enjoyed travelling with his family and umpiring the local baseball games.
He is to be cremated by the Passmore Mortuary. As per Bob's wishes there will be no service, but your prayers and thoughts for the family are appreciated.
